Retail Bakers of America Offers a Variety of Membership Options

RBA memberships fall into three distinct groups: Retail Bakeries, Business & School and Individual

All memberships are renewable annually based on anniversary date.

Retail Bakeries

Licensed full line and wholesale bakeries; bakeries with restaurant/deli; franchise bakeries; panaderias; specialty bakeries; supermarket in-store bakeries; retail donut shops; retail bagel shops.

RBA offers three membership levels for Retail Bakeries and dues are based on gross annual revenue. 

Retail Level 1

  • Gross annual revenue of $500,000 or less  
  • Annual Dues: $200
  • Membership Includes Owner +3

Retail Level 2

  • Gross annual revenue of $500,001 - $750,000
  • Annual Dues: $300
  • Membership Includes Owner +5

Retail Level 3

  • Gross annual revenue of $750,001 +
  • Annual Dues: $400
  • Membership Includes Owner +10 

Business & Schools

Allied

  • Suppliers who provide a product or service to members of the baking industry. 
  • Annual Dues: $400     
  • Membership includes Primary Contact + 2

Note: our Allied membership category is the only RBA membership that offers IBIE exhibitor benefits.

Upon joining RBA, membership must be remain in continual good standing (renewed each year ) to qualify for IBIE benefits which include: Priority Points, Priority Space Selection and Member Space Rates. 

 

 

School

  • Baking and culinary schools, high schools, trade schools or universities offering a baking/pastry/culinary arts education.  
  • Annual Dues:$200   
  • Membership includes Primary Contact  + 3 

Individual

RBA offers various memberships for individuals: 

Corporate Employee

  • Those who are employed by an Allied or Retail member.
  • Annual Dues:$100

Professional Baker/Decorator

  • Those who are employed as a professional baker or decorator.
  • Annual Dues: $100 ​

Note: This membership category is for individual baking professionals only. Bakery Owners and Business Owners are invited to join RBA using one of the Retail Bakery membership categories (Retail Level 1, 2 or 3) or Allied membership. 

Student

  • Must be enrolled in a member high school, trade school, university or baking/culinary arts school or program.
  • Annual Dues: $50  
  • Copy of student ID is requested

Educator

  • Must be employed by a member high school, trade school, university or baking/culinary arts school or program.
  • Annual Dues: $100​

Future Business Owner

  • Individuals in the process of opening a retail bakery, pastry shop or decorating business or considering doing so. Maximum one year term in this category. 
  • Annual Dues: $100 

Note: This category excludes individuals with a bakery business currently in operation. Please join in the appropriate Retail Bakery Level

Retiree

  • Industry retirees who have served in one or more of the above categories.
  • Annual Dues: $50
